CHILDREN WITH DIABETES GO TO SUMMER CAMP, TOO!
And, it's not too late to sign up!

Here's the easiest way for parents to find out about special camps:

WHAT: A Web site filled with information about and for children with diabetes and their families, including specific information about diabetes camps and diabetes specialty camps. This online diabetes camp information is sponsored by LifeScan, Inc., a Johnson & Johnson Company, and the leading manufacturer of blood glucose meters and test strips for people with diabetes.

WHERE: http://www.childrenwithdiabetes.com-- go to the "Contents" section under "Clinic" and click on "Diabetes Camps" for information about camps all over the United States and Canada.

EXAMPLES OF TYPES OF CAMPS:

  • Camps near your community for children with diabetes;
  • Camps for children with diabetes and siblings without the disease;
  • Camps for children with diabetes, as well as their parents;
  • Specialty sports camps for children with diabetes, such as the Chris Dudley Basketball camp;
  • A 2-week bicycle tour for teens with diabetes.

Although some of the camps begin soon, there are still many openings. More importantly, many of these camps offer financial aid for families who wish to send their children to overnight camps but cannot afford to do so.

Please help us spread the word about this experience of a lifetime for children with diabetes.
