Dear LifeScan Customer:

In February we notified end-users of SureStep®Pro®, SureStep®Flexx® and OneTouch® SureStep® Hospital Blood Glucose Monitoring Systems that recently manufactured SureStep®Pro® Test Strips (used by all three of these systems) may provide falsely low test results when the blood glucose is greater than 400 mg/dL.

At that time, until replacement test strips were available, we recommended these hospital customers use an alternate method for point-of-care glucose monitoring or to adjust their “Critical High” protocol threshold to no more than 400 mg/dL so that they could continue to use the product. We are pleased to advise you that this performance issue has been corrected in all SureStep®Pro® Test Strips currently being manufactured (expiration dates of November 2011 or later).
