Important Information FOR OneTouch® Ultra Meter Users In The U.S.

The OneTouch® Ultra® Meter is manufactured in two versions: a U.S. version which displays the date as month-day-year (Example: July 1, 2001 = 07-01-01); and a European version which displays the date as day-month-year (Example: July 1, 2001 = 01-07-01).

Some OneTouch Ultra Meters Distributed in the U.S. Display The Date In The European Format

We have recently learned that a small quantity of the European version of the OneTouch Ultra Meter was mistakenly packaged in U.S. boxes and sold here in the United States. If you are a OneTouch Ultra Meter user in the U.S., please check your meter's serial number to determine if you have one of these European-version meters.

How To Tell If Your OneTouch Ultra Meter Is Affected

Please check the serial number on the back of your OneTouch Ultra Meter. If the serial number begins with the letters "PFF" or "PFG," you have a meter that displays the date in the European format.

Note: Only OneTouch Ultra Meters sold in the United States with serial numbers that begin with the letters "PFF" or "PFG" display the date in the European format and are subject to replacement. No other OneTouch Meters are affected by this issue.

LifeScan Will Replace European-Format Meters Free of Charge

While the format of the date displayed on the OneTouch Ultra Meter has no impact on the performance of the meter or the accuracy of test results, some people find the European display to be confusing. In order to ensure your complete satisfaction, LifeScan will gladly replace any affected OneTouch Ultra Meter upon request. If you have a European-format OneTouch Ultra Meter that you would like replaced, please call our 24-hour toll free Customer Service Line at 1 800 227-8862 to speak with a LifeScan customer service representative.
