How do I change the date and time on my OneTouch® Meter?
Abbreviated directions for changing the time on your OneTouch® Ultra®2, OneTouch® UltraSmart®, OneTouch® UltraMini™, OneTouch® Ultra®, OneTouch® FastTake®, OneTouch® Profile®, OneTouch® SureStep®, OneTouch® Basic®, and OneTouch® II Meter are provided for your convenience.

For information on changing the time on your OneTouch® Ultra®2 Blood Glucose Meter please refer to the back of your meter for the appropriate serial number and go to the corresponding owner's booklet for further information.
If the large label on the back of your OneTouch® Ultra®2 Meter is blue and the serial number ends in "BY" please use the following instructions:
Enter Set-Up mode.
Turn the meter on. Use the Arrow buttons to scroll to Set-Up. Press OK. Select Meter Settings. Press OK. Select English or Spanish. Press OK. Select Date Format. Press OK.
Set the Date.
Use the Arrow button to change the year, month or day. Press OK each time.
Set the Time.
Select AM/PM. Press OK. Use the Arrow button to scroll to the correct hour. Press OK. Then, use the Arrow button to scroll to the correct minutes. Press OK. Use the Arrow button to select AM or PM. Confirm your settings by pressing OK. Download Owner's Booklet.
If the large label on the back of your OneTouch® Ultra®2 Meter is white and the serial number ends in "AY" please use the following instructions:
Enter Set-Up mode.
Turn the meter on. Use the Arrow buttons to scroll to Set-Up. Press OK. Select Meter Settings. Press OK. Select English or Spanish. Press OK. Select Date Format. Press OK.
Set the Date.
Use the Arrow button to change the year, month or day. Press OK each time.
Set the Time.
Select AM/PM. Press OK. Use the Arrow button to scroll to the correct hour. Note that "AM" and "PM" will change each time you reach 12:00. Press OK. Then, use the Arrow button to scroll to the correct minutes. Press OK. Confirm your settings by pressing OK.

 OneTouch® UltraSmart® Meter:
Enter Set-Up.
To enter Set-up mode, press and hold down Back button and the OK button at the same time, for 2 seconds. You will then see the words "OneTouch UltraSmart." You will next see the set-up screen for "Display Language." Select your language and Press OK to proceed to the date/time page.
Set the Time.
Use the Arrow button to scroll to the correct hour. Note that "am" and "pm" will change each time you reach 12:00. Press OK. Then, use the Arrow button to scroll to the correct minutes. Press OK. (Or, if the minutes are already correct, press OK to move past it to the date.)
Set the Date.
Use the Arrow button to change the year, month or day. Press OK to proceed to the next screen. Exit Set Up. After setting the date and time, select 'No' when meter asks you 'Do you want to customize your meter now?"

Enter Set-Up.
Before using your meter for the first time, check and update your settings. After set-up, to access settings:
Start with the meter off, then press and hold  for five seconds until the start-up test screen appears.
After the test screen, the pre-set time and date will appear on the display for five seconds.
Note: If a setting does not need to be updated, simply wait five seconds. The meter display will automatically advance to the next setting.
- The hour will now start flashing. Press and release
 or to change the hour. Note that "AM" or "PM" changes when you pass 12:00. When the correct hour is on the display, wait five seconds.
STOP: Check AM/PM. If not correct, continue to press s or t until the hour and "AM" or "PM" are correct.
- The minutes will now start flashing. Press or to change the minutes, then wait five seconds.
- Proceed through year, month and day.
- Your time and date settings will appear on the display for five seconds. Your settings will be saved and the meter will then turn off.

Enter the setting Mode.
To set the time, you must first enter the setting mode. Start with the meter off. Then press and hold the M button for three seconds. The meter is now in the setting mode.
Set the Hour.
The time will appear first, with the hour setting flashing. Press and release the C button to advance one hour. To move faster, hold the C button down. With the correct hour on the display, press the M button and the minutes setting will start flashing.
Set the Minutes.
Press and release the C button to advance one minute. To move faster, hold the C button down. With the correct minute on the display, press the M button and the 12-hour format (AM/PM) setting will start flashing.
NOTE: When the date and time are changed, the average blood glucose value may also change. The time and date associated with any test cannot be changed.

Enter the setting Mode.
Start with the meter off. Then press and hold the M button for three seconds. The meter is now in the setting mode. The year and date settings will appear first. Press the M button to accept the year and date settings until the hour and minutes settings appear with the hour segment flashing.
Set the Hour.
Press and release the C button to advance one hour. To move faster, hold the C button down. With the correct hour (with AM or PM) on the display, press the M button and the minutes setting will start flashing.
Set the Minutes.
Press and release the C button to advance one minute. To move faster, hold the C button down. With the correct minute on the display, press the M button and the current unit-of-measurement setting will appear. You may now turn the meter off.

Enter the setting Mode.
Enter the options mode by holding the ON/OFF button down for about three seconds, or until all segments of the display appear and begin to flash.
Set the Time.
Use the M Button to choose the time option. The current time will show.
Press the C button to change the time; the hour and AM or PM will flash.
Press the C button again to change the hour.
Set the Minutes.
Press the M button and the minutes will flash. Use the C button to change the minutes.
Press the M button to see the new time setting (the colon will flash).
Press the M button again to move to the next option.
Press the ON/OFF button to exit.

Set the Hour.
Enter the set-up mode. The display will show the time with the hour flashing. Press and release the green C button to advance one hour. To move faster, hold the green C button down. With the correct hour on the display, press the blue power button and the minutes will start flashing.
Set the Minutes.
Press and release the green C button to advance one minute. To move faster, hold the green C button down. With the correct minutes on the display, press the blue power button and the year setting will appear on the display. You may now turn off your meter.
Note: When the time and date are changed, the calculated values for the 14-day and 30-day averages may change. These averages are calculated from the results obtained during the 14 or 30 days preceding the current time and date settings.

Enter the Set-Up Mode.
To enter the set-up mode, start with your meter turned off. Press and hold the on/off button for about three seconds until all display symbols appear and begin to flash. Release the on/off button. The set-up screen will then appear briefly. The meter will then present the first option screen. Use the M button to scroll through the options. Note: Time and Date options appear only if the Clock option is ON.
Change the Hour.
Use the M button to display the current time setting. Press the C button to change the time; the hour and am or pm will flash. Press the C button again to advance the hour to the correct setting. Press the M button and the minutes will flash.
Change the Minutes.
Use the C button to change the minutes. Press the M button to see the new time setting (the colon will flash). You can now turn the meter off.

Enter the Setting Mode.
With the meter off, press and hold the C button.
Press and release the ON/OFF button. Release the C button.
Press the C button to change the date; M to save the settings and move to the next option.
Change or move through the date options to reach the time option.
Change the Hour and Minutes.
Press the C button to change the time; M to save the settings and move to the next option.
Press the ON/OFF button to exit.
NOTE: When the date and time are changed, the average blood glucose value may also change. The time and date associated with any test cannot be changed.
